SUMMARY:Food Not Cops - Mutual Aid (Tuesday)
DESCRIPTION:Food Not Bombs is a decentralized organization that started in the 1980’s as a nuclear disarmament movement. Groups will recover food that would go to waste and use it to feed their communities. Food Not Bombs Burlington\, VT combined with our local copwatch group\, BTV Copwatch\, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to become the daily lunch known as Food Not Cops (FNC). We serve lunch everyday 1-2pm at City Hall Park in Burlington. We’d love to meet week of action participants – come by to help serve\, clean up\, and spend time with our neighbors. \nFNC is a little different compared to other Food Not Bombs. Our friends enjoy meat so we often will have meat dishes as opposed to other groups that do their best to remain vegan. We also hold our abolitionish values very closely as our friends who are experiencing homelessness and whom are in unstable housing interact with the cops a lot. We copwatch to help keep our friends safe. We also distribute a lot of camping supplies as well. We hope that the message we spread is that there are enough resources for everyone to eat. All we need to do is come together and share what we have. All Power To The People.

SUMMARY:No ICE Surveillance Pledge Launch
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a brief presentation to discuss and orient towards the launch of the No ICE Surveillance pledge. We will be taking this pledge to local businesses\, organizations\, unions\, and individuals to commit that they will not provide goods or services to the ICE Surveillance centers in Williston. A mass movement can shut these facilities down; when the working class is organized and we fully understand that our labor makes the world turn\, we can decide how that labor is used and what for. It will take all of us having these conversations and sharing these commitments\, and we hope you will join us in taking the pledge and these discussions to all of our neighbors. \nWE AFFIRM\nOur commitment to freedom\, justice\, privacy\, and equality for our migrant neighbors and all\nworkers. \nWE OPPOSE\nSurveillance and targeting in service of racism\, xenophobia\, bigotry\, discrimination\, and oppression. \nWE PLEDGE\n* To not provide goods or render services to these known ICE surveillance centers:\n1. The Law Enforcement Support Center at 188 Harvest Lane\, Williston.\n2.The National Criminal Analysis and Targeting Center at 426 Industrial Ave\, Williston. \n* To participate however we can in upcoming strikes and actions against these centers \n* To support the No ICE Surveillance Resolution for my town\, and demand that every public official must themselves take the pledge \n* To support those that join in taking the No ICE Surveillance Pledge
